ok, i just recently installed an air intake on my car, the shorter kind, after it was all done, it works nice. but i hear a funny sound when i give the engine gas, it's a high squeal kind of sound, my friend says it sounds like a slipping belt, but not as loud as that usually is. i never heard it before the intake, so i was just looking for sum advice. thanks

Dang, that's really weird. The only thing I can tell you is make sure the intake isn't touching anything. Also... try this: start the car, pop the hood, and while the engine is running and the hood is up, try giving the car some gas by manually pushing on the throttle in the engine bay. If you hear the noise... try to locate where it's coming from by repeating this.
Also... do you hear this noise only when you are driving in gear... or even revving in neutral? ~Chris
