Lightbulb 99" Blinker problem Help:)

My blinker will come on when turned on but will only blink for a few seconds then stop. If I tap on the blinker stick, it will start blinking again and then go off. It is driving me crazy and I have no idea what to do to fix it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Cyndi

i am not positive but i beleave the flasher is in the blinker stick or is a part of the blinker stick. i say this because when i had a 1999 cougar when i flicked the blinker stick i could feel the relay in the stick clicking. call the delear and tell them you need a new turn signal flasher and see what they say if you don't like there answer e-mail me at [email protected] and i will give you my phone number and we can go from there (don't worry i am not a internet pervert if you would rather cover this using e-mail that would be fine i am just here to help cougar owners even though i no longer own one)
