Exclamation Its a check engine light !!!Help Please

I got a 2001 cougar 2.0L 5spd and the check engine light just came on. I went to autozone and got the codes read. The code it through was p1383- Variable cam Timing over retarded (Bank 1) also it said Iginition Sys. or Misfire. I had my valve cover gasket leaking the last couple of days and it was in the chamber of my plug wires. I cleaned out the oil best i could without pulling the plugs and it quit leaking but today it started throwing this code and now i have no compression or go after 4 grand in any gear. Could this be a bad spark plug due to the oil leak. the car doesnt run any different except theres now really no go above 4000. Please help.

Does anyone have access to this tsb so i can read it. Also i should be able to take it to ford and they will fix this right?
