Brake lights do not work, dome does

On my '95 EB Explorer the left and right brake lights will not come on, but the dome brake light does work. I have replaced and checked the bulbs and they are fine. The park lights, and other real lights are working fine. All fuses are OK, although I doubt this could have been the problem anyway since the dome brake light is working fine.

I have a basic wiring diagram, but it is only a high-level schematic from my Hanes repair manual. The Left and the Right appear to come from a common point. I am thinking this may be the loose connection.
Can someone point me where these wires originate, or where can I view a more detailed wiring diagram that actually show the location of components in the car?

Any other idea on how to diagnose?
Thanks!

take a look for a bad connection at the multi function switch on the column

Re: Brake lights do not work, dome does

JD Thx for the advice.

I figured out that the problem is with my Lamp Outage Module that is under the console between the driver and passenger. It was a bad connection because I have bent the pins a little and now the brake lights are all working fine. If it does give me trouble again I'll just replace this $62 part.
