Speedo and Cruise stops workin

Hey I have a 02 Sonata the speedo drops to 0 every once in a while. When it does it bounces back and forth and then works fine. It doesn't do it all the time intermittantly. Also the cruise control completely quits after its been on for approx. 5 miles. Sometimes it works again, sometimes it doesn't (mostly doesn't) Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Speedo and Cruise stops workin

I don't suppose that the cruise control stops at the same time the speedo goes wacky? Or does it not affect it?

Re: Speedo and Cruise stops workin

Don't know about the cruise control, but the speedo in our '00 Elantra started going haywire so we took it to a shop specializing in speedos. I think it cost like $300 to fix. Don't know what the problem was though.
