Code 32 1995 K1500 suburban
My check engine light comes on at various times no pattern. Had Autozone pull the code and they gave me a "code 32" the autozone jockey told me it indicated a bad or faulty MAP sensor, I read a post on this site that indicated a EGR valve. The suburban is running fine except for the check engine light, any feedback on why I would be getting this code 32 with the truck running fine would be greatly appreciated

What engine and what type of EGR valve do you have?
The code does not say replace EGR valve it says check it out. Can be caused by several things. Do you have a electrical or vacume operated EGR valve/ Give more info and I can give you some test to run to check it out. MT

Re: Code 32 1995 K1500 suburban
Disconnect your battery for 15-30 seconds to clear that code. If the light comes back on when you drive over about 50 miles an hour or when your on the highway your EGR is crap. Buy a new one and put it on, be sure you follow instructions when putting on the new one. You need to take this one off BEFORE you go to autozone or wherever because they need the prod. number off the top or bottom of the EGR Valve itself. Its probably behind you air cleaner and to the left a little bit around the electronic vacuum controls. This is only if you have the 5.7L 350 but its a big flat circular valce with a vacuum hose coming from it. Hope this helps, take care.
