Unhappy check engine light

check engine light prevented passing nystate inspection. Replacement of 2 O2 sensors -the truck passed inspection and seems to drive and idle better. 1/2 hour later the light is back on. Now I'm told it is miss firing and wiring is sparking. A tune-up is $600 +. Does this sound right?

Go to autozone and have them read the code for you. It's free. Post it on here and it will be easier to figure out. But $600 for a tune up sounds quite high.

Re: check engine light

If it is in fact a tune up you need, You can do it yourself, (plugs, wires, filters) Pick up a haynes manuel o the EX and compare your plugs tot he sheet they provide to see if they in deed need changed.
