Question about intercooler

Could somebody tell me that is that "something" in front of the intercooler. I guess it is connection with the nitrous system because of the NX decal.

Re: Question about intercooler

intercooler ring (at least that's wat i call it) ,you use it to hook the nitrous system to an air to air intercooler so that when it gets heated up you could just spray a shot of nitrous cooling down the intercooler very quickly.

Re: Question about intercooler

if you use a water sprayer it's cheaper but it gives a lot less performance than the nitrous becos nitrous is cooler.

Re: Question about intercooler

There are also kits that spray CO2, which is pretty much the same except the gas is cheaper. But with N2O you have choice of running it to the intake manifold as well, getting more power.
But hey this is FI forums, who needs nitrous in their engine?

Re: Question about intercooler

the nitrous is better than co2 cause if you get some of that co2 under your hood and in your engines intake it will reduce performance.

Re: Question about intercooler

the N20 spray is the same as a CO2 fogger or water/alky injection......cool the IC down and reduce heat soak temporarily.....

But the N2O spray is coming from the small bottle or from the whole oval ring?
