Re: is something wrong with my car?

You shouldn't be losing to civics. Especially ones that have that little mods. As for the $2500, I'd say go to a racing school and learn how to drive better

Re: is something wrong with my car?

well the camaro is RWD which I guess is better than FWD from a dig... how many miles on your car... when was the last time you checked your wires and plugs etc... what about 60K tune-up and water pump etc...?

out of all those things you described! none would affect performance! none of that would slow you down. It has to be something else and no offense bro but till you got to a race track and show us some time slips we have no choice but to question your driving, You lost to a Civic man! Ive been on here three years and its the first time any 3000GT losses to a Civic!

Re: is something wrong with my car?

well every time the crankshaft turns it gets just the right amount of oil on it from the oil sitting in the pan... when it's over filled, the crank starts whacking against it, and splashing in the oil, so that could effect performance, but not really that much... you should fix that pretty quickly man. Also check and see how many cylinders your running on... other than that I'm stumped

Re: is something wrong with my car?

well the civic could've had a motor swap, I know I guy with a swaped b18a (I think) and he put on cam gears, exhaust, intake, and headers and he's whooped the shit outa a few 3's that I know... it just shows what a lil' HP/Weight ratio can do...

Re: is something wrong with my car?

naw, i talked to the guywith the civic today, he has a stroker kit, enlarge vavles, ported intake and heads, the works. his engine is godly, but he beat me by only a car. hes put 10 grand in the engine alone, and thats no bullshit. but i am gonna go practice my launches, more, i no i shift good, but i need work on my launches, peace

Re: is something wrong with my car?

also, the stock camaro v6's (later models) have more TQ than 3/S's but about the same amount of horses, so that one was a drivers race, in which you said he beat you off the launch... as for the civic, doesn't that make you feel better knowing that he barely beat you with 10 grand into his motor... mystery solved.
