Ok, I am new here and I am not a mechanic at all nor do I claim to know much about cars.
Anyway, I have a 1995 Accent and I wanted to replace the cig lighter as it never works and I keep blowing fuses. I have read enough on this site about how a wire may be cut or too many wires are hooked up on the same circuit etc...
My question is can anyone give me a rough estimate on how much it would cost for the labor to have this fixed? I called the local Hyundai dealership and they can get me a new cig lighter recepticle for $35 and the local R&S Strauss will do the labor for $80. Are these prices reasonable? I tried to change the recepticle myself but the oe I had bought a year ago didn't fit properly so I scratched that plan. I would rather just pay to have someone do it right. Everyone I talked too says its easy to replace but I am not good with electricity and cars. Anyone in the Northern Part of NJ know how to do this, I will pay????? just no more than $50 + parts.
