GTX with GTR engine.

Okay im looking at a 90 GTX with a GTR Engine. It has a cracked piston which the guy says was caused buy a faulty _stock_ injector.
Doesnt have the GTR computer so the GTR injectors wont work.
Running with the GTX turbo also.

How do you think a GTX gbox will handle the GTR engine.

How much do you think and GTR computer will cost and the GTR or similar sized turbo.

The engines been rebuilt and has only done about 6000ks.

DONT put the gtx gearbox in a gtr. your going to blow it REAL quick. they stock gearbox on the gtx has problems handleing the horsepower it has as is. The GTR gearbox was strengthened for the extra horsepower. putting in the more fragile gearbox is just asking for trouble.

i'd check the block to make sure it's a gt-r. i don't know one person who would take off a gt-r turbo and put on a gtx. you have to swap manifolds and the turbo is the main advantage of the gt-r over the gtx. sounds to me like he got gt-r inj. and put them in a gtx.
