I have a 91 PA with 216k. It was running rought this summer and I had the ignition coil replaced. Then came starting problems and a new AC delco alternator. In November I installed a new Delphi fuel pump and AC delco fuel filter and everything seemed to be fine. Last week after driving and the car idling in front of a store, I start driving away and the car dies. It does not want to start during numerous attempts. After waiting about 15 minutes, it starts right up and then runs fine on 110 mile drive home. After returning home and parking car, I get back in and it starts hard. I go to daycare and pick up kids, get about 2 blocks away and the car dies again. Try to start and then after waiting 10-15 minutes it starts right up. Do I have coil problems again, or is this an ECM problem?
Occasionally the radio will get really loud for a second and the speedometer needle will jump, but this has happened on and off for years. Thanks for any help! |

Re: 91 Park Avenue Dies
I would think you have a crank sensor failure in progress when it "just dies"!
