Hey,
'88 XJ Cherokee Laredo 4.0L Auto Did the Closed to Open Radiator Mod but noticed that the Lower Radiator Hose RESTS lightly on the METAL END of one of the Power Steering Hoses. Do these Power Steering Hoses get Hot? This Lower Radiator Hose is an Aftermarket and I don't believe it has the Spring in it. I tried moving it to reposition it but cannot get it to NOT touch the METAL END of that Power Steering Hose. I've driven it around for awhile and no ill effects. Do you think I should be concerned with it wearing a hole in the Lower Radiator Hose (It only RESTS on it but doesn't move or budge so I don't think any abrasion can occur)? Thx, Phil

If you want to insure that the hose won't chafe, wrap the metal end of the power steering hose with a strip of inner tube rubber or something similar and secure it with a zip tie. Another idea would be a piece of heater hose split and slipped over the metal and secured with a zip tie.
