Evo vs. RSX-S

This guy would not leave me alone. He was in a new RSX-S with a loud JDM side exit exhaust, lowering springs, what looked like some yellow Brembo brake pads and aftermarket rims. We're in bumper-to-bumper traffic and he's revving his motor and motioning for me to roll my window down every time I glance over out of the corner of my eye. I'm still in a suit and tie and have all sorts of stuff in the trunk and backseat so I'm trying to not notice him in hopes he'll just go away. No such luck. He was determined and it made me think he maybe had something to prove. Eventually I oblige him and roll down the window when when we pull up next to each other before the merging lane started. He was very complimentary and seemed like a pretty cool guy who came across as pretty knowledgeable when it came to the mods on his car and mine. He even called my engine and turbo (4g63 & 16g) by the correct codes. Because of that it made me start to think his car was gonna be pretty fast and I'll admit I was sorta expecting the unexpected.

We both knew the area and agreed that when the traffic broke up at the 580/680 intersection we would run the cars from about 60mph if the traffic permitted. Just like planned, the back-up cleared and we sped through a little bit of traffic to an opening. He honked once and I looked over to see him holding up 3 fingers as we slowed down to about 65mph. He jumped the gun a little, not that bad, but it was a total joke once we got going. I pulled on him hard. I looked back at about 100mph and I could see more of him in my rear view then my side mirror. When we pulled along side of each other he gave me a thumbs-up and shook his head like I was the underdog and had just beaten a really fast car. Lame. I felt like I just slam dunked the ball on my wife. Not very rewarding. I've heard of some fast Acuras, but that was not one of them.

Re: Evo vs. RSX-S

Yeah it was definately a cheesy kill but I don't street race that much anymore so I figured I'd post it for shits and giggles. My

My Evo has full TBE, drop in filter, JDM MR BOV and an EcuTek flash and dyno tune from Gruppe-S.

Thanks man. What kind of power does an RSX-S with all the bolt-ons, cams and a k-pro (I'm assuming that's some sort of ECU software) put down to the ground?
