If this is a repost sorry.2001 Nissan Skyline Gtr R34 v spec II VS 2001 Chevy Corvette Z51 which would win on the track?

That would be a race I'd like to see, I guess it would depend on which track they were racing on. The vette is lighter, a little more powerful, and handles fantastic so I have to believe the vette would turn in a better lap time. Of course I'd rather have a GTR for the simple fact they're not sold here. I used to play around on GT4 after I was bored of the game and just compare lap times with a bunch of different cars on the same track and I'd run better times with a C5 vette than the GTR. However, that was the Z06 now that I think about it.

It's been done on Best Motoring, although other cars were also in the field. The R34 GT-R came in second I beleive, to a 996 Turbo. The Nissan was able to keep up in the turns and occasionally even gain ground on the Porsche, but didn't have enough power for the straights.

The C5 Z51 did well, but it couldn't hang with the R34. If the race featured a Z06, it would likely be a different story.

Yeah the GTR would catch the 996 in the corners the vette finished 4 or 5th i cna't remember i'll watch it agian tonight and tell you for sure. I'm pretty sure it was 996,R34,Evo,NSX,Z51,360 modena

A Z51 would have its hands full with an R34 GT-R V-Spec II, but a Z06 should keep it very close in the corners, and it would certainly pull away on the straights.
