Sammy Swindell/Channellock sprint car
This is my Channellock car corrected to look like the photo on the box and my references. The car is a lowbar car and not a highbar as the kit represents. The updated parts were welcome though.I modified the chassis accordingly and removed the highbars from the bonnet. This bonnet will be available in resin.I made new front shock mounts by cutting the rear ones off the frame and shortening them to suit.I made new nerf bars from stainless wire.Man is that stuff hard to cut or what. The last pic is the chassis mocked up on the wheels.I may make some proper Duralite wheels in the future.

Re: Sammy Swindell/Channellock sprint car
Nice work so far. I like sprint car models, even though I've barely seen the real ones running at all LOL.
I loved the Channellock NASCAR truck: That was by far my favorite livery in that series. Can't wait to see your paint job. |

Re: Sammy Swindell/Channellock sprint car
Sprint car models are great, the real things are amazing in what they are capable of. Lightweight and 1000 BHP makes for a very quick car.
Great to watch in real life. Looking forward to seeing more on this build. WRCfan |
