How to pass smog with SR20DET in Cali

After what people on AF have told me...the SR20DET cannot pass smog in Cali. But after seeing all these nice 240s with SR engines in them...how can you make it so the SR can pass smog (botht the technical and visual part)?

how so? tons of people do it, you just have to play it smart. There are a few people i can think of here on AF that live in cali and run SR's...

ok you cant pass the visual w/ a sr that would be impossible. you must bribe or suck someones dick or have a car older then 30yrs or 20 whatever that law is so you dont have to do the smog thing. or you could do the emissions w/ the ka in and go swap the sr in the next day and everytime you have to do emissions you will have to do the swap again

yes, this was the second way i forgot to mention, but its gonna be the biggest pain in the ass of all of the ways...at least IMO

pretty much just $$$, and to keep it illegally legal, dont go around showing it off, and try and hold yourself from getting a BOV, and you should be fine in the long term, go make friends quick, or open up your pockets, your choise man.

you need a BOV, if you dont like replacing turbos. But i would suggest a very quite BOV that can be rec. and wont be too noisy.

i dont know what your talking about not having a bov just recirc it. and its so ironic the state w/ one of the best car scenes has the strictest laws. althought south FL ha a pretty sic scene

You will need to go to performance shops and make friends with the guys there. I'm not talking about Super Autobacs or Kragen. You will have to go to a real performance shop where they build motors and cars, and make friends. You won't find anything out unless they trust you. What really sucks is, the new motor you have could actually be cleaner and better for the environment, but it still wouldn't pass unless it's the stock motor. Cali has the most hypocritical and bullshit laws. The law makers must be retarded or something.
