Keyless Remote Programming
I have a keyless entry remote and I wanted to know if anyone knows how to program it for a 1999 Ford Taurus. It already had one remote so it's set up for it, any help?

Re: Keyless Remote Programming
If you have the owner's manual for your car, the instructions are in there. If not, do a search in this forum. It's been posted before, so I'm not going to re-type it all.

Re: Keyless Remote Programming
Try this. Sit in the car. Turn the key from off to on, without starting, until the locks cycle up on and off. Immediately push one of the buttons on the remote , the locks should then cycle. You are done. You will need to turn the key from 5 to 10 times depending on your car.
All of this is spelled out in the owner's manual, which is available as a pdf file on the net, do a search. |

Re: Keyless Remote Programming
Replacing lost transmitters
Take all your vehicle’s transmitters to your dealer for reprogramming if: ² a transmitter is lost or ² you want to purchase additional transmitters (up to four may be programmed). To reprogram the transmitters, place the key in the ignition and turn from OFF to ON five times in rapid succession (within 10 seconds). After doors lock/unlock, press any control on all transmitters (up to four). When completed, turn the ignition to OFF. The doors will lock/unlock one last time to confirm completion of program mode. All transmitters must be programmed at the same time. |
