transfer case question on 92 bravada
my 92 bravada has the two piece transfer case, when we put it up on the rack we noticed some leakage at the joint. When i check the transmision fluid level with the dip stick am I getting the whole picture or do I have to check the fluid level in the transfer case also?

Re: transfer case question on 92 bravada
The transmission dipstick won't show you the true level of the lube inside the transfer case.
The transfer case has it's own drain and fill plugs. The lower plug is drain and the upper plug...about halfway up the case is the fill plug/rear of case. The book says "Fill the transfer case until the oil level is at the bottom of the filler plug hole". Also says use Dexron II E, 1.4 liters/ 52 ozs./ 1.5 qts. |
