alternator wiring

hi, i am putting in an alternator on my '96 3.2L rodeo that someone else took off....and i want to make sure i wire it up right. the plug on the side is obvious, but there are two female wires remaining and only one connection on the back of the alternator to bolt onto. do they both bolt onto the same place, or is one a ground somewhere nearby?? thanks for your help.
