Timing problem??

Hello everyone I reciently purshased a 85 toyo pickup and it starts up and runs but when I drive it in second gear and others it bucks and dies out. I have replaced the fuel pump and think it could be the timing. Any help to point me in the right direction would be appriciated thank you in advance.

Thumbs up

Found out the problem... Well after replacing fuel pump and fuel lines I found out that it was my cat converter. My buddy told me to check the cat and when I did it looked destroyed well it was plugging up somehow causing the engine to die out so I cut the sob off and it runs like a champ now thru all gears. Thanks everyone for your response im sure it wont be my last one either since I am new to toyota being a jeep man THANKS ALL

That Did Not Fix The Problem I Was Driving It Tonight And It Ran Fine For 15 Min At 45 Thru All Gears And Then It Started Cutting Out On Me. Ill Be Going Down The Road And It Will Just Die Out All Of A Sudden. This Was After I Had Just Gotten Gas So I Dont Know If I Sterd Crap Up In The Tank Or What. Clutch Is Fine And It Idles Fine But When I Give It Gas It Will Die Out. Dont Know What Is Going On I Just Bought This Thing Took Me 2 Hours To Get It Home 10 Miles Starting Stalling To Get It Going Without Dying I Have To Give It Alot Of Revs It Is A Carberated Engine And Ive Replaced Fuel Pump. Any Help Is Appriciated

Re: Timing problem??

Is it possible that broken pieces of the cat are clogging the muffler?
