From my experience most of the time the whole thing needs replaced anyway. If you go ahead and replace the tensioner assembly you won't have another problem with it again. FWIW I buy all my parts from Carquest. Have found that they consistently sell better quality parts than the other chain stores (esp. Autozone).

http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...ioner+Assembly Here's a link to Advance Auto's site. I would get the Dayco tensioner. Repair is under 50 bucks.

Screw Advance. Autozone will match Advance's price, and will have a better warranty!

Screw Advance and Autozone.AutoZone is really called AutoJunk ands hires idiots. One of my father's friends called on a fuel pump, they had in stock and were told to put on the counter so he can pick it up,to pay for it too. They did not do that, looked it up again and the manager had to look it up since the person who looked it did not do a good job doing that. They both sell cheap, junk parts that you will replace a whole lot.Carquest sells better parts except their fuel pumps made by Airtex which Carquest will be doing away from Airtex and going to a differant supplier for their fuel pumps.
