1999 Ford Taurus door lock codes
I purchased a 1999 Taurus with the remote door lock fob. The car has a key pad on the door that allows you to open it if you leave the keys in it etc. I know the manufactorers code is hidden somewhere in the car and this allows you to program in your own code. Anyone know where that original code is hidden? I know sometimes it is on a sticker in a discreet place in the trunk.

Re: 1999 Ford Taurus door lock codes
Look up under the dash on either side of the steering column, not sure which side, the rap module is up there, I think small gray unit???, should be a sticker attached to it which has the code on it,, if that sticker is not there, it may be on the pcm unit behind the glovebox,,, if all that fails the dealer can pull the code out of the pcm itself for a charge, probably 75-100 dollars, involves hooking up to diagnostics, post back if you find it.. I've looked thru my repair disc trying to find how to pull it out myself, to no avail, it may be in there though,

You won't find it anywhere except on that module. If you own a 1995 or older Taurus, yeah you would find it on the trunk under the carpet or something. |
