Front Windshield wiper nozzles

I have a 1997 Jimmy. The rear wiper has a Washer nozzle on the Blade arm and the Front Washer nozzle is on the Hood.
I want to put the same washer nozzle used on the rear on the front wiper blade arms.
Am I asking for problems?
During the winter I have to mess with removing snow from the nozzles on the hood. I had a Silverado which had the nozzles on the blade arms and feel it does a better job especially in winter.

I wonder why GMC spent the extra money to put the front washer nozzle on the hood when it would have been cheaper to use the same blade mounted nozzle they did on the rear.

Re: Front Windshield wiper nozzles

well the rear window has no place that they could have mounted a nozzle to shoot water at the window, unless they could count on the car behind you... Why they put it on the hood and not on the wipers, maybe they couldnt find a 1/4 of clearence under the cowl. Can you do this, well im sure you could take the armitures from one that has it, re-reoute the hoses, drill, connect, seal, remove old, fill holes... but is it worth it to you, or would it be easier to just let the car heat up for 10 minutes and defrost the windshield normally.

Re: Front Windshield wiper nozzles

The issue is not frost, I have remote start and use winter wiper blades, as well as use a winter washer fluid.
The issue is cleaning the windshield as well as possible. To me blade mounted nozzles do a much better job.
