Unhappy my 2004 elatra died while i was pulling into a parking spot

Does anyone know why my car died? I have it in the shop but now, because I work about two hours away from where I live, I'm a little bit nervous. Last night, on my way home, I heard my cell phone so, I pulled over into a parking lot. As I turned the wheel, my car stalled. I statrted it back up and was able to coast into a parking spot but could not start it after that. The lights still work, the radio works. My car was bought used from a dealership. It has about 55K in mileage. Any ideas?

When you try to start, do you hear starter cranking? If not, should be starting system problem, such as starter relay or starter itself. The egine mileage is low. So good luck.

thanks for the reply. I got a call from the dealership and they say something made the engine seize - it's under warranty so now, all they need are all my oil change receipts etc...
