I had a few questions about the 240sx...
I read this forum from page one to the end and just need to make sure of a few things.
1) I found a place that sells original OEM S15 front end conversion, with metal fenders and not fiberglass. I read on here and in a few places that the OEM will not fit, my question is anyone know why? Why exactly wont it fit. 2) Which turbo kit is the best for the stock KA24DE so far I found 3 compnaies that make turbos for it and they are F-MAX, XS , and Nsport. Which one would be best for the KA? 3)If i decide to rebuild the KA should i rebuild it with the stock parts or use aftermarket stuff, that might be stronger or better? If so what should I use or what part should I change for the better. 4)Did the 97/98 body 240sx come with a 5speed in America? So far all the ones i found where auto. 5)How hard would it be to convert the back to a s15 also? What else would i need besides the lights. I think thats about it. All my other questions have been answered by reading the forum. Thanks in advance. Last edited by Dannyboy; 06-08-2002 at 07:31 PM. |

1)Not sure why it doesn't, possibly b/c it's not the same chassis. Your better off finding an actual conversion.
2)The 3 you just listed, from what i have read, are the best out right now. Greddy is STILL in the process of releasing a 50 state legal turbo for the S14. But i think most ppl have had luck with the Fmax stage 2 turbo. Do a search on this one, there are plenty of topics. 3)Not sure, i would though...thats what the aftermarket is there for, to release products that nissan hasn't to better improve your engine's performance. 4)Yes 5)No one makes a rear end conversion that i know of, or we would certainly see more out now. I would emagine you would need the tail lights, trunk, rear fenders, and rear bumper. but anythings is possible with $$$ and a good body shop. I dont know much, this info is just what came up in the search i did. |
