cars much faster now

i just had a 2700 tranny rebuild. when i went to change my clutch, i found out that i had a bad tranny. well after i've rebuilt my tranny, i feel a significant amount of increase in speed. everything feels lighter, changed so much to the point of me needing to learn to drive my car again. now i know why i keep on losin to that GS and to that LX i'm goin to try them again with my new tranny and see whats the results.

the car felt like something was holdin it back, and the engine didn't like to rev. then my clutch started sliping. and i have a hard time gettin into 3rd and 4th. and sometimes it didn't want to get into rev. even though the engine is at idle. well as it turns out. my tranny had a leak and the oil leaked all over my clutch then my tranny was spinning with no lubrication. sooo thats how it got burnt up. well i raced him again. heres what happend. i gun out harder then he did beauty of RWD. i'm a half a car ahead of him by the end of first i start to lose steam and then he would keep on pullin on me. then he beats me again!!! by 2 cars!! but this time he got mods. he has a custom mandrel bend exhuast and he has a aem cold air intake. i know that those dont' do much, but my car really did get that much faster, where the true characteristics of the torque KA really is starting to show its weakness. i drop the clutch at 2500 rpm and i still peeel waaaaaaay too much. but i still had a better jump non the less.

WOW, I take a little break from AF and I come back and your spending fat cash on your car, and not even on go fast stuff! That sucks! Did you have to shell out the 2700 or was it covered?

i had to pay for it. atleast my engine revs faster now. but 240sx were never that fast. i always have the lauch becasue of hte torque. but since hes got v-tec whether its sohc or not he still has a better cam profile then i do. argh. our 0-60 is around even which seems right but our quarter mile is alot off.

i think my cat can also be the blame, its got a big hole in it and its makin a horrible rattling sound. i think its cuase it got sooo clogged up that it heated up soo much that it busted open. i'm goin to change it with a high flow cat and hope that i works.
