rear defogger
I have 12 volts between the two power plugs on each side of the rear glass but the rear defogger doesn't work. What should the resistance be between the two connectors with the power plugs disconnected?

Re: rear defogger
Just check resistance with an ohmmeter. If you have a damaged grid, it should show an open circuit.

Re: rear defogger
Resistance of a rear defog grid will be well under 1 ohm. Typically those things draw 20-30 Amps and since your vehicle runs at 12-14 volts.....well you can do the math

Thanks to all. I was reading continuity thru the grid but it was well above 1 ohm (hundreds) and wasn't sure what it normally should be. I'll check further and report here what I find.
