I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 L V8 about 108K. About a week ago I got a check engine light and the truck started running rough and low power. I drove it home and went to autozone and got a OBD2 Scanner and it gave me codes P0300, P0306, and P0308. Now I replaced all the spark plugs and got new Ignition Coils for the two cylinders that were misfireing. still nothing. I did a compression check and it reads 100 on all the good cyl, and 60 on the two bad ones now what does this mean do I replace the rings, or the cylinder heads, What other thing might be wrong.

I have a post here called 95 GC Idle Problem where I had 2 cylinders with low compression as well. Turn your key till the power comes on-off-on-off-on and see what 2 digit number your check engine light reveals. Mine was 5-5. I read somewhere that with that 2 digit code you can find more info. Good luck.
