Smile 1000 HP Mustang Transmission

Hey I was wondering what transmisson do you think would be good to handle 1000 HP in the 06' Mustang? I know the stock 5 speed won't handle it.

TH400. Its a 3 speed automatic. Ive seen it withstand over 1500 whp on a Supra.

Plus it's only rated at 450 LBS of torque.

You missed the line right underneath it.

The transmission is conservatively rated at 450 ft. lbs. of input torque. Aftermarket building techniques take it well past that figure.

I think your gonna be hard pressed to find any manual tranmission to withstand 1000 whp.

Re: 1000 HP Mustang Transmission

can i ask why you keep asking all these questions?? You're not building anything that is making 1000hp and i don't get the fascination w/ that number, but enlighten me...why do you keep asking??
