Just got a prelude..good buy or not?

Hey guys, I just bought a 98 honda prelude and am having second thoughts. I paid $4,500 for it. it has 115000 miles on it but it had a new engine with 40,000 miles just put into it. Its also an automatic with sportshift. It needs new front and rear bumper a hood and a paint job........ Did i pay a good price for it? Should i have gotten a manuel? Can the sportshift be almost as fast as a manuel? I heard my car was worth 7-8 grand.

4500 for a 5th gen is a damn good price. 7-8 grand is still on the low end. They usually go for over 10k if it's in good condition. Tiptronic is good but manual is better.

You should be able to replace the front/rear bumpers and hood for under 1000, so still a very good price.

i just got my car painted and it cost me $3,000 grand. a $3000 grand paint job is the cost of just a regular car paint job. a nice show car type looking paint job is about $5000 grand or more. also you have to add the cost of the bumper and hood, i think some dude say $1000 grand. and so if you do some arithmetic calculations..that means your total cost is a lot of money. oh and with that kindna of damage your prelude is probably salvade title. as you can see..looks like they rip you off big time..my dude.

its a paint job done by the honda dealer. my car looks like brand new and u cant tell it was repainted. i really didnt care if it was $3000 or $5000.. it was actually paid by the insurance.

Oh right, I'm sure that agreeing with someone somehow directly correlates to homosexuality.

Whereas Ritalin is used for nothing other then fucks who don't have the mental capacity to pay attention for 5 seconds.

No, I'm not jealous of a second-hand paint job...my car has original paint and it's flawless, so why would I want to repaint my car?

...and this website is about cars, why are you introducing homosexuality? Unless it's something you think about a lot...don't worry, I won't judge you for your unusual sexual preferences, just don't talk about them here because no one here is interested.
