93 sunbird with 3.1 no start

I have a 93 sunbird with a 3.1 and it was parked for 5 months and now won't start. It turns over fine, but will not catch. I checked and it IS getting spark, and there is fuel going into the fuel rail, but not into the cylinders. I pushed the valve on top of the rail and it is spurting alot of fuel, and when I turn it over for a long time and pull the plugs, they are bone dry. I checked the fuel injectors and there IS power going to every injector with the key on, but for some reason, the car won't start. I find it almost impossible to believe that all the injectors failed, so where should I look? There definetly IS fuel inside the rails, but it will not go into the cylinders. When I spray quick start into airbox, the motor will catch, but stop once I stop spraying. This seems like a fuel delivery problem but I am stuck on where to look next, any ideas???

After setting, varnish and lacquer deposits have probably stuck the injectors shut. You can try to remove the injector rail from the intake, and spray the injectors with carb cleaner to see if they will unstick. I would suggest replacing the injector o-rings to prevent fuel leaks.

Re: 93 sunbird with 3.1 no start

the injectors are tied together like christmas tree lights.if one injector shorts out,it pulls the voltage from the other two.they have 2 banks of injectors, three on each side of engine.you will have to pull the top of intake mnifold, and do a resistance check on each injector. take volt meter and put test wires on each wire prong and they should all be close in value.i think around 12oms.before you pull manifold you should check fuel pressure.psi should be 41-47.you could try to jump the fuel pump by running a jumper wire from positive battery to a grey wire plug located on drivers side corner by the windshield.you will see a harness that plugs into the firewall.let me know if you read this message ok! GMhad alot of trouble with this!!
