to build or not to build, how much boost can i run.
i have a 97 gst, im going through 1qt of oil a week. i think its my rear main seel. but im not sure. my ex wants me to build the bottom end, but do i realy need to?

What are your goals? Are you planning on over 400 hp? Then why wait to build it until later? I'd just do it now while the engine is out. My two cents on an engine build: stroke it. You are already going to be putting tons of time and money into it, like $300 more for a stroker is nothing compared to what you'll get back in return.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

i already built my head, and i got a 1st gen eng. but i got the non turbo, im a dumb dumb, so now i need a turbo engin. i just am not sure if its worth it. should i go with the 1st gen bottom end or go with my same year?

only diffrence between the non turbo 4g63 and the turbo model are the oil squirters. I would suggest reading the www.vfaq.com & 1000 allready answerd questions section if you havn't allready.
