Question fuel filter question

i see the filters on some of the "hot rodders" cars that are clear and see through, so you can see the fuel flowing through. would this be a good idea to try? under hood of course--so then i would have 2 filters (unless i just bypass the original one (should i?))

moving the fuel filter under hood...would that cause a problem? it sure would make it easy to get to...

would running 2 filters cause a problem?

Re: fuel filter question

Just my 2 cents, yeah upgrades are great until they do something that kills your engine! Then your left, "why did I do that?"! Think about what your doing before you so it, Ask yourself, whats the harm, whats the benefits and then is it really worth risking your meat and potatos to fool around!

Re: fuel filter question

i don't necessarily have to have dual fuel filter, i could also remove the under truck one, and relocate it to under the hood, for easier access...what do you think? so then it would still be one filter...but kind of cooler with the see through casing.

Re: fuel filter question

Funny thing!

Have you seen how big the fuel filter is? Where are you going to put it? Also, engineers usally dont just put things in thier places as a whim. Think about this, you get crud in you fuel line, if caught at the normal place the fuel filter is, well you just saved install a whole new fuel line. Lets say you removed that one and put it under the hood, now how much is that fuel line going to cost to replace. Now, what was a cool idea, is an expensive repair.
