Clutch on a 94 Geo Tracker

We recently bought a Geo Tracker for my son, on his way home the

clutch went to the floor. He was able to get it off the road, but now we

are trying to figure out if the actual clutch went out or if there is a place

for fluid to be replaced. Any help in this matter would be greatly

appreciated. My son is a new driver to a clutch and has only been

driving it for a month. He does not know enough about cars to let us

know if it was spongey before it went out or not.

The same thing happend to me in my 93 tracker. the clutch cable either came off the peddle or like mine did broke. you would have to change the cable out if it did brake.

Yeah wire broke on me twice so I upgraded to a hydraulic clutch. If your cable is still in tack get a new clutch/flywheel (200.00) and a chiltons (10.00) and have him install it.. that way you dont have to pay the mechanic 600 bucks to change the clutch. Its really easy to replace on the Geo. Assuming you have tools. if not Mechanic.
