93 GC Keyless Entry RANGE

The keyless entry on my 93 GC works. I have one remote. It does not need to be re-programmed. BUT, the range is about, oh I don't know, 10 feet maybe ?? Is that common ? Can that be improved ? Should I just have an aftermarket put in ???

The 1993 remote (if I recall) is an infrared system, in which case 10 feet or less would be normal.

Yeah, I think you're right. There's a little 3/4" dome (the receiver) that hangs down where the dome light is.

Re: 93 GC Keyless Entry RANGE

Nah, it should work farther than 10 feet. I used to trigger them from across the shop. Have you replaced the transmitter button battery?
