spare car

how many people here have at least 2 cars so they can do serious mods to one while still being able to go to work / run errands / etc?

i've been wanting to add things like turbo and do as much of the work on it myself, but that leaves me with no damn car for work should i screw up or light it on fire or something.

i was thinking of getting another cav similar model as mine so i can have interchangable parts and seriously take time to really work on one... but maybe that's dumb because i could easily have another completely different car and try a bunch of different stuff out...

i dunno how much cav people like dsm people but i've been looking at some eclipses and they look pretty tight, maybe an awd gsx... i hear they "break" easier, but i have a hard time believe that if you treat it well instead of "dropping the hammer" every chance you get, it would last as long as any other car.

aside from all that, any recommendations for a 2ndary car for tooling up?
