1985 Camaro Z28

The Monogram (Motorworks) 1985 Camaro Z28.. Its two tone. Tamiya Laquer Yellow main color, and Dupli-Color Laquer Silver for the ground effects. I wanted it to look like a Johnny Lightning car I have.. So far its only got one coat of yellow, and hasnt been clear coated yet.

Re: 1985 Camaro Z28

Another 3rd gen! It should be nice! Where did you snag this one? I would like to build one of those old Z-28`s.
Will you have the orange stripe right above the ground effects?

Now that you mention it, I think it does come with the stripes above the gfx. I was lookin at some referance pics, thinking "This would look interesting on my model.."

I cant seem to find any referance pics of yellow Camaro's..

Re: 1985 Camaro Z28

got some more paint on. gotta clear coat it yet.

The kit is simplified because its based off a snap-tite kit, yet its still one of the best 3rd Gen. Camaro's I've built.

I Don't Have Any Pics, But I Once Owned A Yellow 86 IROC.
It Had The Same Silver Ground Efects As Your Doing With
Black & Silver Stripes, Like The Maroon Z in The Pic Above
But Black/Grey/Silver. I'll See If I Can Find A Pic

Hope This Helps,And Love That Third Gen Camaro!!

Hmmmm, I havent seen these. Does anyone have a pic of the box art? I cant find it on Revell`s site or Ebay. I`ve been looking to build several different 3rd gens.....

CamaroSS,
Looking good so far! What color stripes come with the kit? Are the wheels and tires accurate?

Re: 1985 Camaro Z28

Okay, not much work done. Painted the door handles and key lock holes, got the decals on, and clear coated it..

As for the wheels and tires; they're about (in scale) 225/70/15's. They're the infmaous plastic-like "Goodyear Radial GT's" and the wheels are the standard 5-spoke Z28 wheels, in chrome. I might change them to silver, or gold..

Looking good. I may have to pic this kit up. Did it come with only the gold color stripes?
