98 Expedition - Air Bag warnign Light Blinking
I have a 98 Expedition (4.6 V-8, 4x4) and the air bag warning light is is flashing in a sequence of 5+2; it does this 3 times then stays on solid. I'm not sure what this means exactly or the remedy....help! for some history, it has 127,000 miles and I recently replaced the plugs and wires, ignition coils , EGR valve, and DPFE sensor.

Re: 98 Expedition - Air Bag warnign Light Blinking
Check 10 amp fuse 2 in power box. If bad replace it. If it blows again fix/repair short in systey/or air bag syatem.
Check battery and charging voltage. if it drops below 8 volts it will also set that code. Is the starter draging when hot or cold? Outside of that take it to someone that is air bag qualified to work on it. Remember they can kill/injure you in a split scond or save your life when needed. MT

Re: Re: 98 Expedition - Air Bag warnign Light Blinking
When refering to box 2 are you talking about the power distribution box in the engine compartment or the one on the interior of the vehicle? The starter has no issues at this time (Knock on wood.....).
Thanks for your input... Quote:

Fuse no. 2 in power distrubition box under hood fuse box.
Check battery voltage on fuse 2 in under hood power box power when cranking engne cold and hot. If the voltage on it drops uner 8 volts it will set the code. MT
