2001 temp gauge

Any ideas what's wrong and how to fix? Temperature gauge does not register and when car is turned off, radiator cooling fan keeps running for about 3 - 5 minutes.

I had the same problem about 2 weeks ago (plus my check engine light was on)

i went to autozone, spent $6 on a new thermostat, $2 on a new gasget, a couple of beers later and everything works fine. Autozone will plug their computer scanner into your car and get the diagostic codes (FOR FREE)

I also unplugged the battery for 10-15 minutes

Make sure your car is cool before you replace the thermostat as some of the engine coolant will spill out of the hose when you disconnect from block.
