My car is on fire!

It isnt on fire, but do what you gotta do to get an answer. Is the thermostat on the 2001 3.9 V-8 below the engine like the 2000's or at the upper radiator hose?
2 Dealers told me 2 answers. Help please or I will take my road rage to the dealer so help me....

Re: My car is on fire!

The thermostat is in the cooling tower (center front of the engine block) and the lower rad hose comes up from the bottom of the rad (along side of the driver's side of the engine) and attaches to it.
