4X4 1995 Geo Tracker; transfer case problem
If there is anyone out there that can tell me if these cars have a history of transfer case problems / how to fix or diagnose them I would greatly appreciate it. My Tracker kept dropping out of 4 wheel high while in gear. Now, it acts as though the shift arm or the bushings are gone in the transfer case. End result, I cannot get the darn thing back into 4 wheel drive high or low. Please help!

Re: 4X4 1995 Geo Tracker; transfer case problem
sounds like a bent fork or a broken synchro. You might be able to get it rebuilt but i don't know if it is worth it to you.. best bet find a salvage yard with a transfer case unless you want a brand spakin new one. Go to the dealer and order one pretty hefty price. Only thing that would really give the t-case problem is not maintaining the proper type/amount of fluid in there or changing into 4wd while driving.
