Tcu?
i have having some probelsm with my civic crx 91, it flares lightly between 2 and 3 and if i press hard on gas it wont do it. i have been told that it is a possible TCU (transmission control unit). anyone have any idea where this is located and where might have one

I not aware of any electronic transmission control unit used on 4th gen cars. I think the automatic trannys are controlled by hydraulic pressure only. Perhaps you need a fluid change or the some linkage may need to be adjusted?
There is also a filter screen that may need cleaning but if memory serves me it buried in the tranny and you need to pull the tranny apart to get at it. GL |
