vwmechanic i need ur help

just to refresh your memory i bought my car about two months ago and since then have taken it from 27k to 30k miles. i spent almost 20k to buy it with extended warranty. now both the clutch n flywheel r shot. the studip no good f***ing dealership is trying to tell me it will be 2213 to fix it. that is just rediculous. i figured 400 for the clutch and another 400 for the flywheel where are they coming up with the other 1413?

Re: vwmechanic i need ur help

labor wise shouldnt be more than 6hrs calculate that by the labor rate.

new flywheel w/ clutch is about 6-800 for new vw at the dealer price.

try this site its awesome! www.ecstuning.com you can get upgraded clutch and 1piece flywheel for less than 8bills

Re: vwmechanic i need ur help

thanks much for your help. i already found parts for 620 too. its a 65/hr labor. again thanks much, you reassured me im getting screwed. another reason i believe this btw is that the past three days i drove past the dealership i saw my car sitting in a parking spot at the front of the dealership and the shop is in the back but i was already told the tranny was ripped out. i must have forgot it was the easy and most efficient way to repair a car by making it undriveable and pushing it 150yds to the other side of a building. unless is there a reason for that? thanks much again.

well i talked to dealership today and they said theyre sorry for the high quote of 2200 and theyll reduce it to 1750. i found an oem clutch and flywheel assembly for 510 today and showed them and they still insist that it is 920 for them to order the parts. they also said that it is 90/hr and 9 hrs of labor just to do the clutch and flywheel. so as of now i have an appt with the owner of the dealership tomorrow and i am telling him there is now way i need to be paying any more than 1000 and even at that im still very dissapointed. especially because now out of 9 weeks of owning the car theyve had it in the shop for about 3 weeks.

thats sucks, your gettin hosed. Its true though, they cant buy parts on an online store like you can. If you wanted to wait a week you could get the parts online yourself and save 500.00 they, problably wont warranty the parts then (if aftermarket)
