my turbo?

hey guys, i just bought a eagle talon tsi and i was wondering what kinda turbo it might have its an upgraded stock turbo the guy bought for it brand new he says i know it says tDO5H on the side and thats about it what could it be?

first off what year is your car and second did he happen to mention if it what a 1g turbo or an evo because that could be a number of different turbos

u will half to do a search on the serial numbers on the turbo...could be a 14b or 16g's or even a bastard 20g.....

what year is your car? if its the 1g, than its most likely the 14b. If the 2g, most likely the small t-25.

i have a receipt that i just found going through the paper work that says it is a 16g...but not sure still, so were can i go to do a serial number search? thanks

no serial search to my knowledge.....not nessecarry either.

If it says Tod5h, its not a t-25, as the t-25 is turbo by garret. Look at the fins on the compressor side.....if they are singular, evenly spaced, its a 14b, if they are kinda doubled up, one tall, one short, its a 16g. Both 14b and 16g had the td05h housing. Also, when does the turbo spool? 16g full boost should be before 3.5k
