95 - Engine Swap Question

I'm in the middle of an engine swap - 3.1 engine, and this job is killing me! Well I'm a bit confused about some of the emission lines. At the rear of the engine, underneath the spark plug banks (whatever they are called) is a small 2" by 2" black box that has one wiring harness connection and two small hose connections. I can't remember if there is a hose connection on the bottom port. If there is, where does it go to? Thanks for your help. I'm ready to torch this car really soon if I can'y get it running!

Yes there is a hose that connects there. It is a rubber hose, push on, which loops over the brake master cylinder and connects to a pipe that sticks straight up near the firewall on the drivers side of the car.

The first engine swap I did was a neon and I spent a lot of time putting masking tape labels on all the hoses and electrical lines. It rained one night and washed half of them off so I feel your pain!

Is it a rubber hose or a plastic line that comes off the cannister? I have both but some parts I have laying around are from the new engine. I have had to swap out lots of parts between the engines and have not done a very good job keeping them separated!

Sorry but I'm confused by "cannister" if you mean a different part than your original post. If not different, it's definitely a rubber hose. Similar to but smaller diameter than the heater hoses...
