Re: oil in distributor cap???
Hiya,
I know this thread is old, but its what my search turned up. My nephew has an 87 Celica and has oil in the distributor cap. The local rip-off artists (mechanic) told him he needs a new distributor. Is this true? I know alot about cars but not much about his specific car. It seems to me like a new o-ring and a good cleaning would do the trick. Thanks for the help. |

Re: oil in distributor cap???
I think he means the shaft on the end of the distributor that has the gear which interlocks with the drive train inside the engine.
