What is MK1 and 4age, i'm new to MR2's
I just bought a 85 MR2 and don't know much about them except they're really hard to work on. any info on performance parts and what setups are good would really help. thanx.

They are not much harder to work on than anything else. It just gets a little tiring leaning over the back end
![]() 4AGE is the code of the engine that is in your car. MK1 is shor-hand for Mark 1. As cars go through generations of designs, they are called Marks. The MK1 MR2 was made from 85 - 89. The MKII was made from 90-98. The MKIII was made from 000-2005. You might want to check out www.mr2oc.com.
