Fuel Filter Problems

I'm going nuts trying to get the connection off the old fuel filter. I would appreciate any tips to remove the black clip on the old filter. I've heard about jamming screw drivers in there, but so far haven't had any success.

Any other tips or pictures of how you were able to remove it?

Thanks for your help.

Rick
