Re: What did everyone get for xmas....

Nice gift!

I'm stuck on night shift at the moment so I had a couple to open during the night to relieve some of the boredom.

CD's and F.E.A.R for the PC from the kids, no models for me, but I am expecting a few parts for the real car in the post soon, bought by me on EBAY etc but payed and wrapped by the missus.

Oh and she's 'chipping in' for four new summer tyres when the snow clears, killed all 4 of mine last year (and enjoyed every minute of it).

Maybe if I manage to finish some models from the to do pile santa will get me some more next year.

Happy Holidays folks.

Richie

Re: What did everyone get for xmas....

Lambo003,

My parents used to take coal to peoples houses on new years I think, some wierd tradition where we lived in NW England.

Very Strange, just don't burn it all at once, could be a long, cold winter.

Yea..Chritmas hasn't come here yet either. I don't get models for Christmas tho. I usually get all my modeling stuff myself. I am horrible to shop for. I usually have what anyone gives to me. BUT.....My friend is possibly giving me one of her XT-6 kits!!! :

Hey Lambo003, you must have been a naughty boy to get a chunk of coal for Christmas , your punishment will be,

to build more kits

My family think that I'm some kind of choco-holic so I've got loads of chocolate to munch through, not such a bad thing because I am , but I did buy this for myself

Merry Christmas to everybody and enjoy your presents, Shaun aka gpz900ra7

first off, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

i made out pretty good this year - no pics yet because i left my transfer cable for my digital camera at school i'll put up pics when i get back on january 2nd.
buttttt... i got hooked up with modeling stuff this year. i got 4 Tamiya models - Ferrari F50, Nissan 350Z Track, Mitsubushi 3000GT (GTO), and the Porsche 911 GT3. I also finally got a butt-load of tamiya paints (never had them before because they don't sell them around here). I got 3 big cans of white primer, two cans of TS13, TS51, TS50, TS44, TS6, TS47, TS39, TS17, TS21, TS56, TS29, and TS8. I also got a can of model master white primer spray, and a sray can each of model master's GTS Blue Pearl (97 Dodge Viper) and Go ManGo (69-70 Dodge Charger), and a couple miscellaneous jars of paint and a paint marker pen. Got a few different sandpapers, tamiya masking tape, more airbrush thinner, and a utility knife set with three different knives and about 13 different blades. bummer is, i leave my house in less than a week cause i'm spending new years eve in NYC, going to the florida keys for spring break, and italy for three weeks when school is over, so i won't really get to build much til June! and thats assuming i live at home this summer...

for non model building related stuff, i got a really nice 1/18th diecast of a 1970 boss 302 mustang (number 47 in my diecast collection lol), a nice poster of basically the same car, a real nice poker chip set, a few shirts, two pieces of nice samsonite luggage for my trip to italy, and a few other miscellaneous things.

I've been borrowing almost all of my modeling supplies from my husband, so for Christmas he got me my own supplies. Here's my new "workbench" (aka kitchen table) setup

A new work surface, tweezers, sprue cutters, cement, and a brush to apply the cement.

Then since a workbench doesn't do any good without kits to build, he also got me two of those:

All in all a good Christmas - thanks love.
